You will work with a multidisciplinary team, including Defra shared services and third-party suppliers, to shape delivery of user-centered online services and digital platforms that are more efficient, simpler, and faster to use.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic programme environment.
  • Extensive digital skills with Microsoft products (Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Experience managing complex financial information.
  • Understanding of financial, business planning, and budgetary processes, including charge funding, CDEL, and RDEL, and recharges between Defra and EA.
  • Procurement experience, including purchase order raising.
  • Experience with business cases, EA and Defra approval and assurance routes, including change control.
  • Experience in digital programmes is beneficial but not essential.
  • Awareness of governance around spend control and assurance processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, engage stakeholders, and drive innovation and best practices.
