Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Management Team Leader in Birmingham to lead a team of Project Managers and Engineers, driving delivery, governance, and continuous improvement across a portfolio of projects.

You will coach, mentor, and develop the team, ensuring strong customer engagement, effective resource management, and adherence to PM methodologies while supporting business growth and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasting and planning.
• Strong leadership with the ability to balance technical expertise and people management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies including PMBOK, PMI, PRINCE2.
• Experience leading projects of varying size and complexity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Membership of PMI, APM or IET preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Ensure governance, standardised processes, and successful project delivery.
• Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and resource management.
• Act as senior escalation point for customers and stakeholders.
• Promote safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
