Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED in Birmingham seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical EPC projects across the UK. The role is homebased with 40-60% travel, requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management, and PMI/PMP certification experience.

You will oversee scope, schedule, budget and risk, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive contract close-out and stakeholder communications with a broad client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large electrical EPC projects.
• Experience with PMI/PMP certification.
• Experience managing projects under different contractual models; strong financial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team allocated to the project, defining guidelines and allocating tasks.
• Monitor progress, risks and finances; manage invoicing, cost and cash flow.
• Ensure adherence to Hitachi Energy policies, quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management for supplier negotiations and changes.
• Drive project closure, contract close-out and formal acceptance by the customer.
