Job summary

Pick Everard in Glasgow seeks a Principal Project Manager to drive delivery of high‑profile projects, shape strategy and ensure excellent client service across a diverse portfolio. You will lead bid submissions, mentor a PM team, and build long‑term client relationships from a national team setting.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification with significant project management experience, preferably in a consultancy.
• Professional qualification such as MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS or PRINCE2.
• Current membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent).
• Experience leading complex projects and delivering positive client outcomes.
• Strong understanding of building technology, construction methods and industry best practice.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project risk management and mitigation.
• Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness with bid leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Commitment to mentoring and developing colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Leading Project and Key Account Management activities to ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Contributing to governance groups and promoting best practice across the function.
• Taking ownership of personal business objectives and team goals.
• Leading bid submissions, client presentations and new opportunities.
• Deputising for senior staff and providing leadership across projects and accounts.
• Coaching and developing team members to build capability.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and promoting partnerships.
