Job summary

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd has partnered with a Tier 1 D&B contractor to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Severn Trent Water, recruiting for Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer (Water).

Role covers design coordination, construction, commissioning and contract management with hybrid working in Derby/Nottinghamshire; salary £55,000–£70,000 plus car/allowance and excellent package.

Qualifications

• Experience managing civil/mechanical/electrical or MEICA projects.
• Experience delivering NEC4-based contracts.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and end users.
• Understanding Health and Safety legislation including CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Input to and update construction programmes ensuring milestones are met.
• Lead collaborative planning with key stakeholders.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders and recommend awards.
• Coordinate requisitions to buyers and supply chain.
• Technical coordination between engineering teams and supply chain partners.
• Day-to-day management of site management team and issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for innovation while minimising safety and commercial risk.
• Manage risk register and provide monthly updates.
• Attend HSE, progress, and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with PM, design and construction teams on near misses/incidents.
• Prepare pre-start packs and upload data to systems.
• Work with Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans and monitor out-turn costs.
