Job summary

Leonardo UK invites applications for a Project Engineering Lead based in the UK. The role requires onsite commitment 3/4 days per week, with possible bases in Bristol or Luton.

You will join the Engineering Management Team to deliver sensing and non-kinetic command-and-control elements for future combat air capabilities. We value leadership, collaboration across sites, and a proactive approach to risk, planning, and technical problem solving, with a focus on delivering high‑quality engineering

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical programmes and teams.
• Strong stakeholder communication across sites.
• Proven lifecycle and risk management expertise.
• Ability to produce clear engineering documentation.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving within complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and report the integrated engineering plan with milestones and dependencies.
• Manage the engineering team with clearly defined roles and objectives.
• Deliver engineering solutions on time, to cost, quality and process.
• Own engineering estimation and resourcing for delivery, including customer tasking.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering and other functions within the IPT.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
