Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. The project controls engineer supports the client of the future team in managing planning, cost, risk, change and performance across delivery streams.

They build cross-functional relationships, ensure baselines for schedule, cost and scope are accurate, enable informed decisions, and communicate effectively to project leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area (e.g. project management, business administration).
• Professional qualifications/memberships are desired (e.g., APM PMQ).

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the performance measurement baseline utilising client coding structures (e.g. EVM) to support updates and reporting.
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance with updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Providing guidance to team members and improving project delivery outcomes.
• Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement project control strategies and contingency plans.
• Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks using risk management strategies.
• Managing changes to programme scope, schedule and budget with proper documentation and approvals.
• Participating in project control workshops and training to boost capability.
• Developing and maintaining project control registers and documentation.
