Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join a Cardiff-based office and lead design development from concept through to completion. The role offers diverse sector exposure, from residential to retail and industrial, with opportunity to own projects and progress within the practice.

You will be ARB-registered, skilled in Revit, and adept at coordinating consultants, clients and deadlines while delivering high-quality technical drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect with proven practice experience.
• Experience delivering projects through multiple RIBA stages.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage projects, workloads and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the delivery of projects across multiple RIBA stages.
• Developing design proposals from concept through to detailed design.
• Producing and reviewing high-quality architectural and technical information.
• Leading the preparation of detailed drawing and specification packages.
• Coordinating Building Regulations, planning and statutory requirements.
• Managing and coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams.
• Attending client, consultant and project meetings.
• Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Monitoring project progress, quality and deadlines.
• Supporting the technical delivery and successful completion of projects.
• Contributing to the development of the practice and mentoring less experienced team members where appropriate.
• Working across a varied portfolio including residential, retail, industrial, leisure and veterinary schemes.
