We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Underwriting team at Victor Insurance UK.

Victor UK is looking for candidates for the following position. Accessibility to London, Cambridge, Bristol, Leeds, or Witham would be advantageous for office attendance.

Victor and its affiliates operate as a managing general agency (MGA), offering a diverse range of property, liability, motor, and specialty insurance products globally. The Senior Financial Lines Underwriter will be part of a busy team of experienced professionals based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy across all products within our risk appetite.
2. Develop a successful career within a close-knit, knowledgeable, and growing MGA team.
3. Operate within underwriting authority and serve as a technical referral point when necessary.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, capacity partners, and internal stakeholders.
5. Participate in networking events, insurance seminars, and broker visits.
6. Deliver exceptional customer service, ensure product profitability, and provide market trend feedback to internal teams.
7. Potential to deputise for the Product Head as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in professional indemnity insurance underwriting.
• Deep understanding of the financial lines insurance market.
• Experience managing high underwriting authority for professional indemnity insurance.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and deliver results.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with e-trade platforms, particularly Acturis.
• Professional qualifications such as Cert, Dip, or ACII.
• Experience working within an MGA model.
• Established relationships with UK independent brokers.
