We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Underwriting team at Victor Insurance UK.

Victor UK is looking for candidates who can attend offices in London, Cambridge, Bristol, Leeds, or Witham.

Victor and its subsidiaries operate as a managing general agency (MGA), offering property, liability, motor, and specialty insurance products globally. The Senior Financial Lines Underwriter will be part of a busy team of experienced professionals based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to and execute the underwriting strategy within our risk appetite for all products.
2. Develop your career within a supportive, knowledgeable, and growing MGA team.
3. Operate within your underwriting authority and serve as a technical referral point.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, capacity partners, and internal stakeholders.
5. Participate in networking, insurance events, and broker visits.
6. Deliver excellent customer service, ensure product profitability, and provide market feedback to internal teams.
7. Potentially deputise for the Product Head when needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in professional indemnity insurance underwriting.
• Strong understanding of the financial lines insurance market.
• Experience with high underwriting authority in professional indemnity insurance.
• Experience working successfully in team environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with e-trade platforms, especially Acturis.
• Professional qualifications such as Cert, Dip, or ACII.
• Experience within an MGA model.
• Established relationships with UK independent brokers.
