Job summary

BOC Limited, a Linde company, seeks a Production Specialist to ensure gravimetrically prepared calibration gases and reference materials meet ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 within the quality system. You will maintain cylinder records and support production records integrity.

You will act as Flam/Ox approved signatory, generate safety procedures, and peer-review procedures, deputise for the Production Manager when required and coordinate stock and priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in gravimetrically prepared calibration gases production.
• Familiar with ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 processes.
• Ability to sign as Flam/Ox approved signatory and review procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce gravimetrically prepared calibration gases and reference materials per ISO 6142/17034 within the quality system.
• Maintain cylinder control database and accurate records for company and client cylinders.
• Act as Flam/Ox approved signatory: check gas mixture safety, generate safety filling procedures, peer-review procedures.

Job description

• You will be responsible for the production of gravimetrically prepared calibration gases and reference materials in accordance with ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 accredited processes within the quality system.
• As well as supporting the integrity of production records, you will maintain the cylinder control database, ensuring accurate records of all cylinders owned by the company and its clients.
• You will act as a Flam/Ox approved signatory, checking that gas mixture compositions are safe to manufacture, generating safety filling procedures, and peer reviewing procedures produced by other approved signatories in accordance with SOP002 (PR041).
• When required, you will deputise for the Production Manager, including scheduling work and coordinating departmental priorities.
• You will be responsible for liaising with the Production Manager regarding the ordering and stock control of gas cylinders, pure source gases, and general support gases.

• You will have soundorganisational ability with the capacity to work individually or withinthe team
• You will have IT literate andhave the adaptability to use bespoke software systems, Microsoft Wordand Excel and database software.
• Extensive experience in the handling of gascylinders, vacuum equipment, laboratory high pressure gas control equipment,high precision balances and high pressure gases
