Job summary

Linde plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a safety-minded Cylinder Gas Handler to join the heart of our operations. You will manage the safe handling, loading and unloading of gas cylinders to and from our vehicles, following strict quality and safety standards.

You will maintain accurate documentation, complete daily pre‑fill checks, and ensure maintenance needs are flagged. The role involves manual handling and forklift operation with full training provided, in a safety‑first environment

Responsibilities

• Handle and sort gas cylinders; unload/load onto vehicles.
• Ensure cylinders are filled to high quality standards and inspected before/after filling.
• Complete documentation and carry out daily pre‑fill inspection checks.
• Maintain a safe, tidy working area and site; promote safety.
• Manual handling of cylinders and forklift driving with full training provided.

Job description

• This is a great opportunity for you to join the heart of our organisation, in which you will be at the forefront of our cylinder gases that ensure our world is productive, everyday
• Working with excellent attention to detail and the training we provide; you will be responsible for the safe handling and sorting of our gas cylinders, which also includes the unloading and loading of them on to our vehicles
• You will ensure that our cylinders are filled following the highest quality standards and to set targets
• An important part of this role is ensuring that all cylinders are inspected before and after they are filled and then sealed in line with requirements
• You will ensure that all documentation is completed, carry out daily pre-filling inspection checks and ensure any cylinders requiring maintenance are managed appropriately
• We take pride in what we do, so you will be responsible for ensuring that your working area and the site is safe, organised, tidy and maintained to the highest standard
• You will work in and be responsible for a safety-first environment, where you will actively follow and promote safe practices to all and support your manager and team with tasks when required
• As part of this role, there will be an element of manual handling of the cylinders and forklift driving but full training will be provided by us, with the suitable equipment to support you in doing the job safely
