Job summary

The Abbey in Barrow-in-Furness seeks a Principal Product Security Engineer to lead security engineering activities across our PMS domain within a major platform programme.

You will develop Security Cases, manage IA risk, collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, and ensure governance alignment while delivering to milestones. This is a delivery-focused role operating within a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Information Assurance and Product Security within complex engineered systems.
• Experience delivering security cases and managing information risk.
• Experience in large scale, highly regulated programmes (defence, maritime, aerospace).

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Product Security engineering activities in line with programme plans.
• Lead development of PMS Interim and Final Security Cases across defined phases.
• Maintain alignment between system-level security artefacts and risk registers.
• Coordinate IA Technical Queries (TQs) and formal communications, ensuring proper data handling.
• Provide technical leadership within the PMS Product Security team and drive improvement.
