Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Senior Product Owner - Prime to drive product strategy and execution across Prime components such as cash, swaps, collateral lending, margining, and tokenization. You will align development with business objectives and market needs.

Lead a team of junior product owners and business analysts, collaborate with the Global Head of Prime, manage IT priorities and budgets, ensure risk and regulatory alignment, and clearly communicate the product vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in product management within the Prime space.
• Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and delivering successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of product strategies for the Prime business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of product components.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine product offerings.
• Oversee the lifecycle of products from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product vision effectively.
• IT-Backed Offerings: Create a set of IT-backed offerings that align with the client journey through the bank, enhancing the overall client experience.
• IT Prioritization: Oversee IT priorities to ensure they meet business goals and support product development.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with the Global Head of Prime to understand business priorities and define associated products and projects that drive the business forward.
• Team Management: Manage a team of junior product owners and business analysts in the delivery of products and IT systems, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Budget Management: Ensure the budget is properly allocated across various deliveries, including quants, IT, finance, and product control, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Risk and Regulatory Alignment: Ensure every delivery meets customer needs while aligning with risk management and regulatory requirements.
