Job summary

HSBC Group is seeking a Senior Product Owner to shape and deliver a new equity risk system from concept through to operational software. You will partner with Trading, Quants, Risk, Operations and Technology to translate complex business needs into technology outcomes and guide the platform’s vision for years to come.

You will define the product roadmap and release plan for the risk domain, manage current workflows, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries through agile practices.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Equity Derivatives and Prime within bank risk reporting
• Understanding of risk metrics and outputs (VaR, P&L explain, sensitivity analysis, stress testing)
• Proven experience as Product Owner or Business Analyst in risk/front-office environments
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into a structured product roadmap with functional outcomes for Technology teams
• Ability to operate across governance forums with business stakeholders and Technology teams
• Experience overseeing backlog management and sprint planning in Agile environments

Responsibilities

• Act as the interface between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring business intent is represented across the delivery lifecycle
• Shape and maintain the product vision, roadmap and release plan for the risk domain
• Deliver the new risk system from concept to operational software, balancing business requirements with technical constraints
• Define measurable outcomes with stakeholders including delivery timelines, quality control and strategic alignment to business needs
• Manage the book of work of the current risk system to support the growth agenda
• Work closely with Technology teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, delivery and defect triage
