Job Responsibilities
- Product Management: Oversee general product management activities across portfolios, including:
- Setting and regularly reviewing 3-year product portfolio strategies with Product Managers to align with overall strategy set by the VP.
- Annual product specification and pricing reviews.
- Supporting regional sales and enabling sales activities.
- Representing products in customer success meetings and onboarding.
- Updating product training materials annually to ensure team training.
- Collaborating with marketing on annual marketing materials to articulate value propositions and customer messaging.
- Guiding R&D activities across portfolios, managing budgets, engaging customers regularly, and capturing feedback to inform product development roadmaps.
Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of 3, ensuring KPI delivery and ROI on activities. Manage team objectives, deliverables, and coach individuals to achieve outcomes.Customer Focus: Deep understanding of key customer personas and markets. Act as the voice of the customer, integrating feedback throughout processes.Product Advocacy: Champion products within the business, articulating value propositions, supporting training, and stakeholder engagement.Content Innovation: Support publishing initiatives to identify opportunities for content innovation to meet customer needs.Cross-Functional Leadership: Inspire and coach teams towards unified goals, collaborating closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Marketing, and Publishing to communicate roadmaps and gather insights.Financial Ownership: Own product P&Ls with Product Managers for commercial success.New Journal Launches: Support acquisition and launch of new journals by:- Driving vision and value propositions for new collections.
- Using data for decision-making on journal access models.
- Ensuring timely delivery of launch roadmaps within scope, budget, and timeframe.
- Leading business cases and forecasts for new products.
- Co-owning revenue and growth targets with relevant teams.
