Job Description:

Summary

Yelp engineering culture is driven by our values: we’re a cooperative team that values individual authenticity and encourages creative solutions to problems. All new engineers deploy working code their first week, and we strive to broaden individual impact with support from managers, mentors, and teams. At the end of the day, we’re all about helping our users, growing as engineers, and having fun in a collaborative environment.

At Yelp, you have the opportunity to make a real impact on a product used by millions of people every day. If you’re looking to own critical revenue-generating products at a fast-growing consumer company, this role is for you.

We’re looking for a product manager to help us build great advertising products for Yelp’s emerging and enterprise customers. Although many of Yelp’s paying advertisers are small local businesses, thousands of regional and national businesses are highly engaged on Yelp, and our enterprise business is growing quickly.

This opportunity requires you to be located in the United Kingdom. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.

What you'll do:

  1. Identify, analyze, and prioritize products and solutions that enable enterprise businesses to grow and engage with their customers.
  2. Collaborate with our design, analytics, and engineering teams, and work with stakeholders and clients to understand their motivations and needs.
  3. Work with our engineering team to implement and roll out new features that drive revenue in our enterprise business.
  4. Manage the define / build / release / measure cycle from end-to-end.
  5. Define roadmaps, prioritize features, and evangelize product launches to executives, product managers, sales, business development, and other stakeholders at Yelp.
  6. Move quickly; we strive for perfection but love to release and iterate.

What it takes to succeed:

  1. Product management experience: Experience as a product manager or product owner, including full responsibility for significant initiatives. Experience in ad tech is preferred but not required.
  2. Tech savvy: Ability to work with engineers and data scientists to understand how technical decisions and trade-offs impact your product and users.
  3. Strong business acumen: Track record of building business cases and gaining buy-in for revenue-generating solutions.
  4. Problem solver: Ability to work closely with our data science team to analyze problems and identify opportunities, including running analyses using SQL to evaluate key metrics.
  5. Effective communicator: Ability to engage with technical teams and translate features into a compelling vision and roadmap for non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Collaborative leader: Ability to work well with a range of stakeholders and create a product vision that others want to follow.

What you'll get:

  • Full responsibility for projects from day one, in a collaborative team and dynamic environment.
  • Competitive salary, pension scheme, and optional employee stock purchase plan.
  • 25 days paid holiday (rising to 29 with service), plus one floating holiday.
  • £150 monthly reimbursement for remote working expenses.
  • £81 caregiver reimbursement for dependent care.
  • Private health insurance, including dental and vision.
  • Flexible hours and meeting-free Wednesdays.
  • Regular hackathons, learning groups, and career development support.
  • Opportunities to participate in digital events and conferences.
  • £81 per month wellness expenses allowance.
  • Quarterly team offsites.
  • Closing
