Job summary

MDA Space is seeking a Senior Product Assurance Engineer to join the UK team. You will manage PA activities for electronic units and subsystems, ensure quality protocols align with customer requirements, and collaborate with hardware/software teams, suppliers, and customers. Occasional international travel may be required.

The role emphasizes leading PA plans, documenting QA processes, and mentoring junior engineers within a hybrid UK workspace at Harwell/Didcot and Stevenage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering field or higher.
• 5+ years delivering Product Assurance on ESA/NASA and commercial programs.
• Experience with electronic, electromechanical and optical systems design, manufacture, assembly and test.
• Experience with ECSS-Q standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001/AS 9100).
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Assurance work packages across projects and lifecycle.
• Prepare PA plans and verify compliance across the supply chain.
• Lead EEE parts, materials and processes assurance activities and documentation.
• Lead reviews (design, manufacturing, integration, test) and customer/supplier reviews.
• Prepare End Item Data Pack and PA documentation (QSL, CIL, CIDL).
• Manage non-conformances/change control (NRBs, FRB, CCB).
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement in QMS.
