Job summary

MDA Space in the UK seeks a Senior Product Assurance Engineer to lead PA activities for electronic units and subsystems across ESA/NASA and commercial programs. You will develop and apply quality protocols, work closely with hardware/software teams, suppliers and customers, and may travel nationally or internationally.

The role requires a strong background in EEE parts, materials and processes, ECSS standards, and ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems, with mentorship responsibilities and potential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or higher.
• 5+ years delivering Product Assurance on ESA/NASA and commercial programs.
• Experience with electronic, electro-mechanical and optical systems.
• Knowledge of ECSS-Q standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001/AS9100).
• Proven root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Product Assurance work packages across projects and lifecycle.
• Prepare project PA plans and verify supply chain compliance.
• Lead EEE parts, materials and processes assurance activities and reviews.
• Lead design, manufacturing, and test reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior QA/PA engineers and support proposals.
