Job summary

ShipIn Systems is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to own data‑driven decision making across product performance, discovery and risk scoring in maritime insurance contexts. You will report to the VP of Product and collaborate with Data, AI/ML, Customer Success and engineering teams to translate insights into product strategy.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in product analytics, BI, or data research roles in SaaS or data‑rich enterprise apps.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and product analytics tools (Looker, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau) and Python/R for deeper analysis.
• Strong ability to translate raw data into business insights and tell data stories for technical and business audiences.
• Ability to design and track KPIs, funnels, and cohort analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Curiosity and a proactive mindset in exploring patterns and opportunities.
• Detail‑oriented, highly analytical, and able to work cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go‑to person for product data analysis, validation, and reporting.
• Analyze user engagement across onboard and shore personas to understand adoption, workflows, and value extraction.
• Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs, risk scores, and product usage across customers and fleets.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to identify bottlenecks, validate hypotheses, and optimize product performance.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across internal analytics sources.
• Conduct data‑driven research on emerging product opportunities in maritime insurance.
• Provide recommendations for new modules, features, or risk tools tailored to maritime trends.
