Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee category management teams and drive the work plan across Clinical Management Groups and Corporate Directorates. You will manage multiple procurement projects to secure best value and influence non-pay spend of about £190m per annum.

The role involves deputising for senior procurement leadership, guiding teams, engaging with senior stakeholders, and building strong supplier

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to the category management teams.
• Lead delivery of the procurement work plan across Clinical Management Groups and Corporate Directorates.
• Manage a portfolio of projects across one or more Procurement Categories to achieve best economic supply arrangements.
• Develop and lead strategic sourcing programmes for defined categories across non-pay expenditure.
• deputise for the Deputy Director of Procurement when required and support the Head of Procurement.
• Represent the Trust at internal and external forums and build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
