Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to lead the Non-Clinical procurement team, delivering strategic category management, supplier relationship management and compliance with the Procurement Act 2024.

You will supervise a team of 2 Assistant Category Managers, 2 Buyers, an Assistant Buyer and a Procurement Assistant Apprentice, overseeing capital and IT procurements and driving savings while collaborating with CHS, NHS Supply Chain

Qualifications

• Public sector procurement experience.
• NHS procurement experience.
• Contract Law knowledge.
• Proactive and detail oriented.
• Able to manage and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Non-Clinical category team including capital, IT, Estates and Corporate procurements.
• Analyse spend and contracts to identify savings.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2024 and related regulations.
• Develop and implement category strategy and future procurement plan.
• Provide management information from Atamis and other systems.
