Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the water sector to support the United Utilities framework in the North West. Based in Manchester with hybrid working, you will lead the process design of wastewater projects and provide technical assurance across project teams.

Qualifications

Chemical Engineering or related Process Engineering degree, preferably chartered.
Experience and understanding of water and/or wastewater unit processes and treatment plant; experience delivering process design for wastewater projects.
HAZOP experience as chair or team member would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead development of process design deliverables such as process models, mass balances, and control philosophies.
Provide technical assurance of process designs and ensure compliance with UU standards and industry best practices.
Identify opportunities for innovation to meet whole-life cost and net-zero drivers.
Analyse site performance and identify risks to project delivery; develop mitigations.
Challenge process selection and delivery to ensure best value solutions for United Utilities.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and allocate resources appropriately.
Defend solutions to clients and collaborate with other engineers and project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
