Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance. You will provide technical direction on water treatment and supply projects, ensuring designs meet legislation and standards while driving low-carbon solutions.

The role involves mentoring junior engineers, reviewing P&ID diagrams and 3D models, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget. An engineering degree and chartered status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Chartered status is desirable or pursued.
• Experience in water-sector assets and capital projects.
• Experience with design and build environments.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers within multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to discipline engineers in water treatment and supply projects.
• Review upcoming projects and design reviews with stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Check P&ID diagrams and 3D models for quality, safety and standards compliance.
• Verify mass balance, process sizing and hydraulic calculations at appropriate detail level.
• Review basis of design, process flow diagrams and control philosophies.
• Develop design alerts and share lessons learned across the alliance.
• Support the letting of @One frameworks and undertake site visits as needed.
• Present lessons learned and technical developments to engineers and wider alliance.
• Adopt digital technologies to achieve fully attributed 3D models and low-carbon design.
