Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance. You will provide technical direction, review designs, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

You will collaborate across disciplines, support design milestones, and contribute to sustainable, low‑carbon solutions in the UK water sector. This role is based in Peterborough and offers a permanent, full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartered status is preferred.
• Experience with water-sector assets and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering technical direction to discipline engineers in the area.
• Check specifications, datasheets, drawings and models for quality and safety.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers within the electrical team.
• Collaborate with design managers to capture milestones and design reviews.
• Contribute to CDM and commissioning strategy discussions.
• Drive sustainability, low carbon design and repeatable solutions.
