Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Rosyth with a strong background in chemical process design and leadership. You will drive innovative, safe process solutions for marine LNG projects, mentor engineers, and develop critical process documentation through all design phases.

The role requires experience with PFDs, P&IDs, heat/mass balances and safety studies; hybrid working patterns are available, and you will collaborate with customers and shipyards to ensure successful project

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering; Chartered status desirable with 8+ years of experience.
Strong background in process design at senior/lead level; able to manage multiple projects.
Experience with process safety studies and engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

Lead safe, innovative process engineering solutions for marine LNG projects with technical excellence.
Mentor and supervise Process Engineers and Graduate Engineers; review and approve deliverables.
Develop and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, process calculations, equipment specs and datasheets.
Contribute to design reviews and process safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) and produce control philosophies.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, shipyards and classification societies to support testing, commissioning and delivery.
