Job summary

Greencore is seeking a Project Development (PD) specialist at the Selby site to lead customer and category PD work from concept to launch. You will ensure feasibility, sustainability, and timely implementation across teams, aligning with financial targets and quality standards.

You will manage milestones, input product knowledge, and maintain strong customer relationships while safeguarding margins. This is a fixed-term 6-month contract with opportunities to demonstrate impact and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high quality, sustainable commercial products.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritise own and others' focus accordingly.
• Good understanding of food manufacturing principles demonstrated through feasibility of proposals.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Shows customer service values and is well respected by customers as a food authority.
• Desired: food related degree.

Responsibilities

• Project management of all customer and category PD activity to meet critical path and feasibility plans and ensure right first-time launches.
• Input product knowledge and customer insight within category team to align with key customer requirements and financial targets.
• Introduce and test new product concepts through design, feasibility, and implementation stages.
• Lead feasibility meetings and internal reviews to keep site teams informed and actions completed.
• Lead the PD team through implementation, tracking progress and resolving issues in scale-up trials.
• Custodian of product quality and margin delivery against the brief.
• Build and maintain customer relationships as dedicated contact, communicating internally and externally.
• Stakeholder management of operational peers to promote collaborative delivery of the NPD agenda.
• Develop team capability through coaching for higher performance.
