Job summary

Greencore seeks a proactive Product Developer to join the Selby team on a 15 month FTC. You’ll work with Development Chefs, Process, Technical, Commercial and Operations to translate briefs into high-quality, scalable ready meal products.

You’ll develop recipes, manage costing, and ensure compliance with customer expectations and commercial goals. Experience in FMCG and strong project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in food product development, ideally in FMCG or food manufacturing
• Experience taking products from concept to launch
• Strong costings analysis and financial awareness
• Excellent project management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to present products and ideas to stakeholders and customers
• Strong communication abilities and collaborative approach
• Knowledge of current food trends and consumer behaviour

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing recipes into commercially viable products meeting customer requirements and targets
• Benchmark products and monitor market trends for innovation
• Maintain recipes in recipe management systems with cost, nutritional and weight accuracy
• Assess new ingredients from technical and development perspectives
• Prepare feasibility assessments and handover documentation
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Purchasing and Technical teams on launches
• Produce product costings and adjust recipes to hit targets without compromising quality
• Support internal and customer presentations with market insights
• Manage critical paths and escalate risks to keep launches on track
• Assist factory trials and scale up to ensure production quality
• Coordinate with Aldi Ready Meals team for seamless communication and continuity
