Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of probate matters from inception to completion.
• Handle a varied range of estate administration and probate cases, including more complex matters.
• Maintain accurate case records using a case management system and legal technology tools.
• Communicate with clients primarily via telephone and email, delivering excellent client service.
• Work closely with colleagues and support teams to ensure efficient case progression.
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing legal knowledge and best practice.
• Effectively prioritise and manage a high-volume workload while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEX), STEP-qualified professional, or equivalent experience in probate law.
• Previous Private Practice experience is essential.
• Strong experience managing probate files independently from start to finish.
• Ability to manage and progress a varied caseload, potentially handling up to 70 live matters depending on experience.
• Excellent organisational and client care skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
