Zero Surplus is seeking an experienced Probate Lawyer to join its newly opened Bishop's Stortford office and take ownership of a varied caseload. You will advise on probate and private client matters, including grants of probate, with a client-focused approach.

You will handle sensitive cases, liaise with beneficiaries and institutions, and contribute to developing the new office while delivering clear, practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion.
• Advising clients on a range of probate and estate administration matters.
• Preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
• Dealing with the administration and distribution of estates.
• Preparing relevant legal documentation and correspondence.
• Liaising with beneficiaries, executors, financial institutions and other professional advisers.
• Providing clear, sensitive and professional advice to clients.
• Managing matters efficiently while ensuring a high level of client service.
