Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring a Private Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (Storage) to join the Private Cloud Platform team. The role is based in Leeds or Manchester with a hybrid pattern of at least two days in the office per week.

The team focuses on modernizing cloud infrastructure to support 28 million customers, offering a generous pension, annual bonus, share schemes, and flexible working options. The candidate will work across storage technologies, perform data migrations, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Storage Engineer with cloud expertise.
• Expert knowledge of Storage/SAN technologies and services (Hitachi, Dell, IBM NetApp).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and experience supporting storage technologies and tools.
• Experience writing technical build documents.
• Solid knowledge of SAN, NAS, VSAN, iSCSI, and S3 technologies.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Solid knowledge of networks and firewalls.
• Solid knowledge of backup technologies.
• Solid knowledge of block, file, and object storage (Dell PowerScale, NetApp NAS, or Dell ECS).
• Experience in service build and associated methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with large-scale data migrations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with colleagues at all levels to deliver an outstanding cloud platform.
• Contribute to or lead the analysis, build, and delivery of infrastructure systems.
• Use agile workflows and tooling such as JIRA.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering to gather and interpret internal client needs for roadmaps.
• Adhere to secure-by-design principles, contributing to security and automation discussions.
• Understand risk processes and mitigate risk.
• Operate as a self-starter, manage workload and plan next tasks.
