Job summary

Nielsen is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Privacy and Data Protection to provide practical, business-focused advice on EU/EEA privacy across products and commercial relationships. The role will manage privacy workstreams and support the European privacy program.

You will work with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security, Procurement, Sales, Marketing and Legal across jurisdictions, draft data protection agreements, conduct DPIAs, and help ensure regulatory compliance while

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification with UK admission.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR and national privacy laws.
• Experience drafting and negotiating DPAs and data protection exhibits.
• Ability to translate complex privacy issues into practical business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day GDPR and privacy guidance across products and contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements.
• Lead privacy risk assessments such as DPIAs.
• Support cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Legal.
• Engage with data protection authorities as required.
• Monitor privacy developments and advise on compliance.
