Job summary

Sky is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead data protection and privacy initiatives across the UK, Ireland and Italy. You will advise on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy and AI privacy issues, translating complex rules into practical guidance for the business and supporting scalable governance across Sky.

You will partner with Legal, DP Operations, Cyber, Technology, Sky Data and Commercial teams to ensure compliant, responsible data use that enables innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• UK/EU data protection experience at senior level, in-house or private practice.
• Influence senior stakeholders and shape strategic privacy decisions.
• Deep expertise in UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy and related frameworks.
• Experience advising on privacy for content/services, AdTech and digital products.
• Ability to provide practical, risk-based legal guidance to business units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal advice on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy, AI privacy and related laws.
• Lead or support complex, high-risk matters, including product launches and regulatory issues.
• Advise on AI, data, cyber and digital regulatory issues with practical guidance.
• Provide risk-based advice to business stakeholders on BAU data protection issues.
• Support development of clear legal positions and documentation.
