Job summary

Copello is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer for a permanent role in Bristol. The position offers hybrid working (minimum 3 days on-site) and a salary circa £75,000 DOE.

You will lead static strength analysis, develop FEA models, and produce substantiated stress reports for aerospace structures across Defence, Security and Space programs. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and test teams, while applying Roark, Niu, Bruhn, MMPDS and ESDU methods.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant structural analysis experience.
• Experience or familiarity with FEA and CAD tools.
• Willing to become or be signatory for structural substantiation.
• Working knowledge of metallic and composite materials.
• Understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of your work.

Responsibilities
