Job summary

Ticketmaster is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead design and implementation of scalable data systems in a remote UK role. You will partner with product teams to shape large initiatives, influence architectural direction, and mentor engineers across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience building high-traffic web applications and deploying to production.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and live support of production systems.
• Skilled in SQL/MySQL and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript and NodeJS; familiarity with IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new systems and enhancements for high-traffic data apps.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify reusable components across teams.
• Own technical strategy and architectural direction for multiple teams.
• Refactor infrastructure to modern architectures, ensure cost efficiency.
• Develop monitoring, pipelines, and deployment automation; ensure high availability.
• Guide, mentor, and review code; promote enterprise standards and best practices.
