Job summary

Bimplus is recruiting an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer for a 12-month contract in Cardiff or Swansea. You will lead design and delivery of mechanical building services across diverse projects, mentoring junior engineers and engaging with clients and contractors to ensure quality, programme and budget targets are met.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, applying UK standards and using software such as IES, Hevacomp, NBS and Revit to develop robust

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE or IMechE, or working towards chartership
• Experience in a building services consultancy or contractor design environment
• Strong knowledge of UK mechanical building services design standards and best practice
• Experience using IES, Hevacomp, NBS and Revit
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Proactive leadership and mentoring capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
• Produce mechanical specifications, equipment schedules and technical documentation.
• Undertake heating, cooling and ventilation calculations using industry-standard software.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations and design information.
• Manage project delivery from design through to completion.
• Attend client, contractor and design team meetings.
• Carry out site surveys, inspections and construction progress reviews.
• Build strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
