Job Description:

Wood is currently recruiting for Senior and Principal Technical Environmental Engineers to join our Technical HSE Team based in Reading.

You will be a member of the Design HSE Group, within the Engineering Department, and will report to the Group Manager Design HSE. The department sits within the New Energies business of Wood.

Expected qualifications and experience include:

• Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
• Membership of a recognised professional institution
• Technical competence in core Environmental Engineering subject areas, notably; Emissions Quantification, Dispersion Modelling, Best Available Technology (BAT) Analysis, Risk Assessments, Working knowledge of applicable international standards
• Experience in applying Environmental Engineering within a design setting, likely including Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refining, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), Carbon Capture/Hydrogen Production
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to manage own work and the work of others, plus a strong customer focus and team-working skills
• Ability to work to agreed delivery dates while collaborating with others in multifunctional teams
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering or Sustainability
• Experience working in the process industry, energy, oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors
• Leadership skills and experience
