Job Description:

• Location options: Barrow-In-Furness, Portsmouth, BroadOak, Frimley, Weymouth, Plymouth, or Bristol
• Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
• Responsibilities:
  • Support the derivation and management of Product Safety requirements based on hazard and risk identification.
  • Work in accordance with Project Safety Management Plans.
  • Influence the development of safe design, the Project Safety Case, including technical safety arguments and justification reports.
  • Participate in hazard identification meetings and maintain the project hazard log.
  • Conduct peer reviews, checks, verification, and assurance tasks to ensure the Safety Case's robustness.
• Skills and Experiences:
  • Understanding of engineering safety management processes such as hazard analysis and safety case reporting.
  • Knowledge of safety within systems engineering, including requirements establishment and delivery.
  • Understanding of ALARP principles and their application.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools like DOORS and Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience working in defence or complex systems involving software products.
