Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer – Production Controls Systems to provide technical leadership across PCS products and ensure governance, safety and reliability. You will mentor engineers, lead reviews, manage risk, and shape the long-term PCS engineering roadmap in a global, multidisciplinary team.

Based in the UK, this role supports customers and suppliers, collaborates with product management and manufacturing, and champions engineering best practices while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Automation and Control, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical or Software Engineering.
• Significant experience in Production Control System engineering in safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, product development processes, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the full range of Production Controls Systems products and activities.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable standards, processes and governance.
• Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent across the organization.
