Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution is seeking a Primary Network Design Engineer to join the team at Pegasus Business Park, Castle Donington. The role provides a hybrid office/remote pattern after training and focuses on power system analysis and design for 132kV/66kV/33kV networks across NGED.

The candidate should hold an Electrical Power Engineering degree or equivalent and have experience with network design, engineering standards and software tools such as PSS/E, IPSA or DIgSILENT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Power Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of EHV and 132kV networks and distribution systems.
• Experience with power system analysis and modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Assess and design new demand and generation connections.
• Prepare connection offers, budget estimates and feasibility studies.
• Liaise with customers to manage connections safely and on budget.
