Job summary

Homeprotect is seeking a data-driven pricing professional to lead the development and optimization of pricing strategies in personal lines insurance. You will own modelling for conversion rate and market dynamics, using a custom Python-based pricing system to test ideas and maximise profitability.

You will work closely with the Trading team to refine market positions, and apply advanced statistical methods and ML practices to improve decision-making.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in personal lines insurance pricing.
• Specialism in conversion rate modelling and market modelling is desirable.
• Knowledge of market dynamics and elasticity is essential.
• High quality numerate degree (Maths, Data Science, Physics, Engineering).
• Understanding of statistics and machine learning best practices.
• Proficient using Python and its data science ecosystem for data manipulation, visualization and modelling.
• Excellent data manipulation and reporting skills using SQL and MS Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills with pragmatic solutions.
