Job summary

Protect Group seeks a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to lead pricing optimisation and broader ML initiatives across protection and transactional domains. You’ll design models, run experiments and deploy production-ready solutions, influencing revenue and risk decisions while collaborating with finance, product and commercial teams.

You’ll also contribute to risk modelling and agentic AI systems, shaping technical direction with a focus on measurable business impact and robust production

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in data science or machine learning, including responsibility for models running in production.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and continuous improvement of production pricing models.
• Turn pricing opportunities into measurable hypotheses, experiments and production changes.
• Evaluate pricing performance through backtesting, online testing and commercial metrics.
• Develop Bayesian, multi-armed bandit and other optimisation approaches for pricing.
• Collaborate with commercial, finance and product teams to interpret pricing performance.
