Job summary

Markerstudy Group in the UK is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support pricing solutions aligned with strategic goals. You will analyse data, develop predictive insights, and influence pricing decisions.

You will collaborate with the Modelling & Optimisation Pricing Team, interact with stakeholders, and mentor junior colleagues while maintaining governance.

The role requires a quantitative degree and knowledge of insurance pricing concepts; proficiency in PySpark/SQL/Python/R is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience within general insurance preferred.
• Familiarity with retail pricing concepts.
• Experience in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g. PySpark, SQL, Python, R).
• A good quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
• Experience of WTW’s Radar software is preferred, but not essential.
• Good commercial acumen.
• Proficient at communicating results concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to analyse, understand and interpret data from varying sources.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of pricing solutions.
• Provide input into pricing processes, and champion continuous improvement.
• Combine pricing expertise and commercial acumen to deliver outcomes which optimise the P&L.
• Ensure all activity is compliant with pricing governance and follows established controls.
• Work closely with the Modelling & Optimisation Pricing Team to ensure pricing models/approaches meet business objectives.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders around the business.
• Mentor and coach more junior members of the team.
