Kenton Black Limited is recruiting a Preconstruction Manager for the Midlands region. The role focuses on coordinating the preconstruction process from enquiry through to tender submission and contract award, leading cross-disciplinary bid teams and developing robust, competitive bids for major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Preconstruction Manager or equivalent role.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering/infrastructure.
• Experience managing tenders from enquiry to award.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary bid teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the preconstruction process from enquiry to tender submission.
• Lead multidisciplinary tender teams across estimating, commercial, design, planning, procurement and operations.
• Develop competitive tender strategies and review documentation.
• Provide technical input on tenders, methodologies, and delivery strategies.
• Identify buildability, sequencing and temporary works considerations.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supply-chain engagement.
• Ensure smooth handover to delivery team after award.
