Kenton Black Limited is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager for our client’s Regional Civils team in Warrington. You will lead the preconstruction process, coordinating design, estimating, planning and commercial input to deliver compliant tender submissions and contract awards.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, build strong client relationships, drive value engineering, risk management and secure major civil engineering opportunities across highways, structures and utilities.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in preconstruction, bid management or project management within civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and civil project delivery.
• Experience across highways, structures, public realm, utilities or general civil engineering.
• Leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing risk, opportunity and client expectations.
• Experience managing complex tender and bid submissions; knowledge of NEC contracts and collaborative procurement routes.

• Lead the preconstruction process from opportunity identification through to contract award.
• Manage multidisciplinary bid and preconstruction teams to deliver high-quality tender submissions.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, designers and supply chain partners.
• Drive value engineering, innovation, buildability and sustainable solutions throughout the bid process.
• Coordinate design development, estimating, planning, risk management and commercial input.
• Manage programme milestones and ensure governance requirements are met.
• Identify and manage project risks, opportunities and key commercial considerations.
• Work with operational teams for a smooth transition from preconstruction to delivery.
