Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities across the Midlands from opportunity qualification through to contract award and handover.

You will coordinate estimating, design, planning, commercial and delivery teams to create compelling, client-focused submissions. The role requires strong communication and stakeholder management, with NEC/JCT experience being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary bids and leading bids within complex environments is preferred.
• Experience with NEC/JCT contracts or similar procurement routes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead allocated tenders from initial qualification through to contract award, developing bid programmes and coordinating submissions.
• Bring together estimating, design, planning, commercial and operational teams to manage resources and deadlines.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners as primary bid contact.
• Develop commercially robust tender strategies, identifying technical, programme and commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure a seamless handover to delivery teams and capture lessons learned.
