Job summary

Vintage.com’s Metallurgy Team is seeking a Senior Smelter to lead complex melting and casting of gold and silver, ensuring high‑quality bars, precise records and safe, compliant operations. You’ll oversee induction and gas‑fired furnaces, mentor junior smelters and collaborate with the Metal Melting Director to improve yield, safety and process reliability across the foundry.

• Experience in precious metals and foundry operations.
• Strong technical judgement and problem solving.
• Ability to work safely in a high-temperature environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, load, and operate induction and gas-fired melting furnaces to process complex scrap and feedstock.
• Monitor heat cycles and apply fluxing to separate impurities and support recovery.
• Cast bars, weigh materials and maintain accurate melt logs.
• Mentor junior smelters and share knowledge across the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve metal recovery and process efficiency.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure PPE and ventilation compliance.
