Job summary

Vintage.com in Leeds is seeking a Precious Senior Melt & Casting Specialist to lead complex melting and casting operations of gold and silver. You will mentor junior smelters, uphold safety standards, maintain accurate records, and identify process improvements to maximise metal recovery.

Qualifications

Experience in precious metals, foundry operations, or high‑temp metal processing.
Strong attention to detail with weights, measurements and material records.
Solid understanding of industrial safety controls and procedures.
Ability to operate safely in a high‑temperature environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate induction and gas-fired melting furnaces for complex feedstock.
Monitor heat cycles, adjust controls, and manage slag and fluxing.
Cast high-grade bars by pouring molten metal into preheated molds.
Maintain melt logs and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance across the foundry.
