Job summary

Graham Group's Building Division in Livingston is seeking a Pre-Construction Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial work from concept through tendering and contract award. You will oversee cost planning and budgets, procurement, and contractor selection, with site visits and mentoring for junior staff.

A background of 10–15 years in post-qualification QS work on large public and private projects is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten to fifteen years of post-qualification quantity surveying experience, including extensive pre-construction work and complex public and private building projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial work during pre-construction for large or complex projects.
• Lead cost planning and budget preparation.
• Assess commercial risks and direct procurement and contractor selection.
• Negotiate tender documents and commercial terms.
• Review financial performance before construction.
• Contribute to bid strategy and project reviews.
• Carry out site visits and provide technical guidance for junior surveyors.
