Job summary

Graham Group in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for its Building Division. The role covers commercial management from project inception to completion on a GBP150 million scheme, with budgets, forecasts, costs and value engineering options.

You will oversee tendering, subcontractor appointments, contracts administration and valuations, monitor variations and final accounts, and report on financial performance with the delivery team.

Qualifications

• Substantial post-qualification construction experience across public & private building projects.
• Procurement, subcontract management and contract administration experience.
• Cost-control experience and strong Excel and Word skills.
• Professional membership or progress towards membership desirable.
• Experience mentoring on complex building schemes and modern construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and forecasts for projects; assess costs and risks and explore value-engineering options.
• Manage tendering and subcontractor appointments; administer contracts and monitor valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Report on financial performance and commercial exposure; participate in site visits, meetings and liaise with clients and delivery teams.
